Harv Eker’s Extreme Health
Part 1
When someone suggests a health conference, it is easy to imagine expert speakers and teachers who inspire confidence in various aspects of health and healing. We would expect many booths showing the latest in supplements and technologies to enhance human health. We would also expect an interested audience that chooses who they want to listen to, yes? The first two items were true in Irvine this last weekend, March 6-9, but the third was something else – an obedient audience that did not know who was to speak next and that screamed and yelled at high volume before the speaker even earned applause. Yes, there were scientists, doctors, fitness kings and queens, researchers, a musicians and a psychologist whose delivery qualified them as a comedians. One guru from Bombay and one healer with an amazing technique and reputation. One nutritionist who is really a theta healer. All at the “top of their field.” All quite entertaining and masterful.
Since this went on for 4 days from early morning to late at night, at a ticket cost of a thousand each (1250 attendees, do the math), it was overwhelming and intended to be. The entrepreneur of this event “trains” audiences to “learn” using hypnotic techniques, and convinces most of them to be there for every “trainer” who ends their 90 minute sessions with 15 minutes of marketing. Lots of money is spent buying these products by those whose lives seem to need this kind of “entrainment,” most of them able to afford it. Yes, Harv Eker is a “master” not only of ceremonies but of suggestion. He dangles the golden carrot and people eagerly hop to the sound of his voice. “What’s the word?” “VOICE!!!” “Yes, listen to my voice! Is that good or good?” All very impressive. Harv is the head of Peak Potentials, Millionaire Mind, Extreme Wealth, Wizard Training Camps, and more high-end trainings. He has the Midas touch, and myths about him crop up everywhere. People sign up to become “ambassadors” who earn credits by bringing in all their friends with money or credit who seek some kind of “life changing experience.”
My feeling was he is good at finding people with credentials, fame and status, getting the information, the product, the answers he seeks and then sharing these people with his thousands of trainees. I dreamt on the first night that he offered me a ride on a big white space ship made by Mercedes. I declined. But as a guest of a generous friend, I attended and learned and suffered the overload. I was not overwhelmed because I drank gallons of water which required me to leave the place on a regular basis. The loud rock n’ roll at the beginning and end of each session required I get up and dance, or sit there looking like “I didn’t get it.” I think I did get it and I want to share with you what I got. (I may save you thousands. Please send a donation to Backster Research Foundation.) I have a bag full of brochures, order forms and websites, just in case any of this interests you.
I will group my comments to speakers, technologies and products. Since I didn’t try everything, I will mention only those I did. I will grade on a 4 star system…
1* – pretty much known stuff 2** good info, entertainment or both
3*** – worth trying, listening to 4**** – worth trying and buying
Funny ones: 7 reasons why diets make you FAT! By “The Fat Lady Sings” **
Drink the healthiest water available: Ionized alkaline water! (If you don’t have 1200. for “superior hydration,” I think you might just add some minerals or lemon to the filtered water you have.) **
At the beginning and the end I met two people who were giving information on Glutathione, an amino acid that activates cellular energy throughout the body. The first was “Y-age,” Glutathione as a patch, applied to acupuncture points. I was given a sample, but fell asleep soon after so could not report benefits. They have patches for sleep as well. I did wake up feeling pain free and frisky. *** The last gentleman, who I believe is a Sikh name Raja, sold me some Max GSL L-glutathione that kept my exhausted brain and body awake and almost hallucinating all the way home over toll roads surrounded by green hills …flowers everywhere, whoa! Today, I gave a full dose to my niece, she cleaned the whole house, singing her head off, then had a crying spell. Perhaps for clean systems, a low dose or gentle patch is a good idea. Very powerful effect, and I owe my sitting here writing instead of sleeping to one third dose I took 6 hours ago.**** Helps eliminate caffeine and sugar addiction, great antioxident and rejuvenator. Only side effect is thirst, so my water drinking is constant. (Will let you know if we get addicted and have to sell to our friends to support our habit. I did sleep extremely well last night, happy to wake up in Anza.) I now have an assortment of amino acid and amino proteins to “re-train” the body cells.
Antioxidant juices were present, besides Xantha juice, there was Oki, with the “secrets of Aronia berries, Black currants, Acai, and pomegranate juice.” I liked this brew, and felt very awake when it hit my bloodstream.*** There were bottles of kombucha tea and most of us know that is potent, though mysterious as to why.** Better to make your own.
Seeds: Salba the key to the powerful Aztec civilization. Nutrition in a tiny seed!*** More bioavailable and complete protein than soy, it has B vitamins, zinc, selenium and A. Then of course, hemp seeds.*** Those of us who like hemp products can spend 10. on this natural food source, and feed some to the birds. I put hemp seed in my travel bread. Flax seeds, too.****
Key words heard: phytonutrients, and psycho-neuro-immunology. One is some potent thing you take, the other, you think or feel. Your psychology becomes your biology. I know that taking samples of very powerful, very expensive juices, makes me feel privileged, lucky, healthy and ready to kick some ass. (I sure sat on my own a lot.)
Speakers: They started with a basic geneticist, William Thornton, explaining DNA and how we are stuck with what we have. ** You can get a DNA evaluation test for 200. to find out what propensities you are “stuck with.” He has never heard of Vianna Stibal. Susan Hutchins, a healer and teacher who has studied with Vianna, talked next about cleansing the colon, and aspects of wellness in her usual common sense manner. She offers advice on herbal and nutritional healing and does live blood cell analysis, which I had done years ago. Helped me get off of sugar and chocolate seeing my blood cells all bunched up. Her price for that went from $35. years ago to 100. but that makes sense considering her audience. *** www.HerbalAbundance.com Funny thing: Whenever I went by her room to see if she was free, she was doing theta healing. All the rest of her technology is a cover for powerful healing with the Creator on the 7th plane. The belief work and feeling work is the most powerful health practice I know…and I teach it. **** (I have a one day training coming up in April, here in Anza, or in your neighborhood.) Yes for marketing myself!!
Third speaker was the ever bouncy Kathy Smith, tight buns, skinny body and large chest. Her style has made her a millionaire, and sells packages to get you going for 400., and for a mere 12K, you can spend an entire 24 hours with her! She had plenty to say but with the cosmetic appeal I rate it **. (I can’t seem to separate exercise from spiritual practice.)

Part 2
Now that a week has passed and the quietude of my life reestablished, I remember fitness coach, Bill Phillips. A sweet-faced man, with a shy streak, mucho muscles, fighting a slight cold from all the traveling around, I recall. He is very well thought of because he donates huge sums of money to Wishes for Kids and children charities. His fitness program has helped many people go from blob to bulbous muscle tissue. A book of his was given to me with some impressive before and after images. He offers to help you across the “abyss” which is the difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it. He practices the Universal Law of Reciprocation, which is to give that which you wish to receive.***
We went from weight lifting to “Star Trek medicine” and heard John Hashé and his lovely wife Lorry. This couple deal in Scenar technology that has come from Russia, developed for cosmonauts in space. These devices seem to diagnose just the right electronic zap and move the body’s energy toward healing. Stories include healing of acute pain from slamming fingers in the car door…chronic pain, helping war vets with healing. There is a cosmetology aspect, in that it stimulates neuro-peptides, and also causes the glands to produce proteins to match the peptides. They quoted Candace Pert, as does many a speaker these days. They claim that the old TENS technology actually interferes with “the signal.” IN retrospect, it was a contrived bit of info, claiming collogen fiber is balanced, hinting that a few strokes of this machine could make you face, or your derriere look perfect. One woman with a badly scarred face came up to get a treatment. This courageous couple were swamped in the foyer. People were fighting over the chance to get a device (1200.) and a treatment. They continued to be swamped, even followed into the restroom. I was there helping to sell the books of Keith Scott-Mumby whose “Virtual Medicine” tells the tale not only of Scenar, but of many other devices and research materials that have been suppressed by the drug companies behind the AMA.***
Speaking of which, many doctors are taking issue with the drug companies’ dominating of the medical schools here in the USA. Some have become alternative healers, studying with shamans, psychic healers, mind control, hypnosis, and homeopathy. Some of you may not know that Jacques Benveniste, originator of homeopathic diagnoses and cell salt research, doctor to the British Royal family and many others, was attacked and defamed deliberately back in the 60’s by a group of American doctors and scientists, led by none other than James Randi, the magician. Paid for by the drug companies? It’s in Keith’s book, Virtual Medicine. From being at the top of his healing career, Benveniste was plunged into obscurity here in the USA. Before that time, most medical schools taught homeopathy alongside what they teach today.
One comprehensive medical doctor, Bruce Dooley, talked about proactive vs. reactive health practices. His main focus was the “Beast to all systems” mercury poisoning. Called a health warrior, he mentioned “psycho-neuro-immunology” the mind’s effect on the nerves. Calling himself similar to a “Samurai,” he described his change from regular medicine to changing himself inside to serve others. He showed a clip about “smoking teeth” the effect of rubbing an amalgam filling with a pencil eraser. (WHO in 1991 said silver amalgam is the primary source of mercury poisoning) He asked, “Why do dentists still place deadly mercury less than 2” from the brain?” Heavy metal poisoning is rampant in our country, with little sign of abatement, and impacts hormones, fertility, enzymes, moods, vision, nerves. Lack of focus, brain fog, poor memory, dementia, panic attacks, low sex drive, impotency, insomnia, etc. may result. Often contributes to allergies and cancer. He very nobly offers mercury test kits, (urine proactive DMPS) and chelation therapy. www.mercout.com is his site. Heavy metal detox is here as an increasingly lucrative business. IAOMT.org will provide a list of dentists qualified to remove amalgam fillings. Meanwhile, infra-red saunas, cilantro, chlorella, are gentle helpers.***
After all the gloom of feeling toxic-fried, we enjoyed a presentation on raw food and juicing by an old timer, and by an up and comer in the organic food movement. Since I do raw and organic daily, this was redundant, but a good reminder. Support your local organic farmer – a few dimes more is worth not being poisoned. Organic foods are now big business – and that should be balanced by home grown plants, well loved, nourished and surrounded by music! Put your garden seeds in your mouth for a few minutes, then spit them into the earth. Cover them and stand barefoot on the spot – this way the plants will recognize you, your needs and respond to them! Read Anastasia, by Vladimir Megre.
The medical star of the conference was Ayurvedic Dr. Pankaj Naram. His Siddha Veda method is based on ancient arts, mainly pulse reading and Marma points. **** “Within seconds of putting his fingers on your pulse, Dr. Naram can tell you what is happening in your body, mind, and emotions. He can read your organs like an X-ray.” He treats sometimes 200 people a day, and has had amazing cures for just about every chronic condition. In spite of this, he looks half his age, zooming with energy. He has treated the Dalai Lama and Mother Theresa – founded clinics and hospitals, including one for dogs and wild animals, which he loves. He works to preserve the forests for the herbs he prescribes, and also ancient Tibetan texts, given into his care for translation and preservation. His free advice for us: Know what you want. Achieve what you want. Enjoy what you have achieved. Touching, thumb and first fingers into a circle, chant this: Aham Bramasme Om Sri (I am powerful). He showed us muscle testing, hypnosis, and many delightful pictures of healing cases including tigers and crocodiles and dogs!
He suggests this affirmation often: I like my Self, I love my Self, I’m okay with my Self. (Study your gunas, vata, pitha, kapha.) For breakfast, soak overnight 3 almonds, 3 cardomons, 2 t. fennel seed. Add 2 dates and blend with liquid. Drink and you will feel wonderful! For insomnia, take ghee and massage the temples, 6 circles up and back, then pull down. What a wellspring of healing! You can even go on a healing cruise with him. www.ayushakti-usa.com.
Whew! All this sitting, yelling, clapping and stamping, can make the butt, back and feet tense but lucky us, there were two new technologies waiting to assuage that. The Bio Mat on chairs was a butt warmer that pulled out the tension, and I took a power nap lying on a larger one… amazing in the middle of a noisy foyer. Containing warm water and amethyst crystals, the mat is so powerful that you fall into a deep rest very quickly, awaking refreshed. www.TheBioMatCompany.com
The other amazing technology I’ve already started using: the grounding pad of Barefoot Connections. Earthing! Wherever I have skin contact, its silver mesh grounds off tension and pain. Yes, we can go outside and touch the earth, and must. But what if it’s below freezing like it is right now? What if you live up stairs? Under the computer it helps me to keep going, with serenity. I’m happy with my earthing mat, and if you want to check them out, I can get you a good deal! Earthingforyou.com One of the fun spontaneous healings I did for the barefoot mat seller – great response – he sold a bunch of them. www.sleepgrounded.com**** Soon, you can enjoy a group of grounded people and you can hear more about this in L.A>

To sum up, we learned that lovely music that is harmonious can muscle test strong, and render the listener immune to toxic cell phones, and disharmonies in the environment. I didn’t buy Eric Romero’s CD but I have new respect for harmony and musical resolution.
Witnessing one amazing woman, Christine Stevens, do a 1250 person drum circle was amazing! Talk about bring diverse people together. She did frequent drumming in Iraq with Kurds and Arabs. Now that’s a use of music and rhythm I respect, big time.
I didn’t go into the cosmetic laser surgery – choices again, 4 grand for my face, or for my grandchildren?
The healer of the conference was Ronald Allan Downey – weird kid turned doctor, osteopath, healer. His real mission is to teach enlightening metaphysics. I talked to him briefly on my way out, found him charming. His aura was clean and strong and his system of “breathing the soul” into each part of the body is certainly greatly needed.
If you postulate that as you relax and breathe into the hara (navel area) your soul energy will enter and become healing to each bone, muscle, gland and fiber. There is a basic healing you can count on! He gave us a lot of information, and important pressure points to activate while breathing. He wants us to change how we think about health. Good health is just the beginning of a greater practice. From what I observed, his practice brings you a very clean aura, very high colors, almost other-worldly. He’s a healer to celebrities and spiritual teachers like Marianne Williamson. Well, someone has to heal the stars!***
He would have got 4 stars from me, but I’d rather spend my money visiting my grandchildren, fixing up my pool for summer and preparing my sanctuary for your next visit. I did find a treasure in my own backyard: Iona Teeguaarden, acupressure teacher extraordinaire!
Love those healing thoughts!

A note of irony: A couple days after the Extreme Health conference ended, a significant number of people, vendors and attendees, fell victim to a virus. Perhaps if someone mentioned that viruses do not discriminate, although they tend not to take hold in a body that is alkaline, protected by a positive aura field, and not exhausted from screaming and clapping, nor going 13 hours a day taking in information. Perhaps moderation does pay off.
